I started this blog in October 2012, just after running my first half marathon, to document my fitness and literary pursuits. My posts are very mixed, from stories about life with Ernest the pony to workouts to book reviews to museum visits.
My main passion is riding and taking care of my beautiful strawberry roan pony, Ernest (hence the name Roan Rider), but I also love weightlifting, running, reading and travelling.
I’ve been a vegetarian for 10 years, and I love animals, especially dogs. And giraffes. I’m the proud owner of two magnificent black greyhounds, Princess and Claus, and - until recently - one African pygmy hedgehog, Fig.
